Thanks for the great post. You ask a very interesting question. My guess is that some of the justices probably think it's a very bad idea to have a spouse involved in the political arena. I suppose if there was a clear conflict, Justice Thomas could recuse himself. But it takes a lot to get a judge to do that. We will need to keep an eye on this. Great question.
